FOUNDER & CEO

As the CEO and Founder of The JBT Agency, Jakiya has built a reputation for using a strategic, fresh, cultural, and realistic approach to marketing to transform stories, ideas, and influencers into sustainable businesses with ease. With 10+ years of experience working for iconic brands like Lancôme, Kylie Skin, YSL, Byredo, and Giorgio Armani, Jakiya has honed her skills in branding, marketing, and business development. Her work has taken her around the world, and she has been featured in notable publications such as Oprah Magazine, Refinery29, HuffPost, Conde Nast Traveler, and more.

After simultaneously launching her signature program Hustle to Ease, generating almost 8 million dollars in revenue for Black women entrepreneurs and acquiring clients like Spotify, Hennessy, and the NBA in under 3 years, Jakiya launched The JBT Agency to support brands with visibility, content, and campaigns that impact, inspire, and sell.

Now she spends most of her time “hubbed” between NYC and Dakar executing her vision of creating ease in the business growth and storytelling process, the key to helping both the corporate & individual client create income, impact & legacy.
